I Can't Get No Satisfaction

Today, it's story time. If I ever had children, this would be the bedtime story I'd tell them. And I think it's safe to say, since these would be my children, this would be their favorite story of them all, blowing Snow White and Cinderella out of the water.
Once upon a time, a long long LONG time ago, a man had been born. His name is Mick Jagger. He and a couple of his pals had formed a band, called the Rolling Stones (but this is not the point of this bedtime story, it's just a very important piece of information, which you cannot live your life without). One of the band members was Keith Richards and him and Mick have been great friends and had lots of fun together.
One day, they were hanging out at Keith's place and invited other friends to play along with them. There were a lot of magic liquid, magic herb, magic powder and magic whatnot at the house and everybody was having a really good time. But then, all of a sudden, big bad police came and raided the place. You see, whenever someone has too much fun, police come and kill all the fun - that's what they do.
When they got inside and made their way into the living room, they found the group of friends all wide-eyed and goofy and in their midst lying on the floor, there was Mick Jagger eating a Mars chocolate bar sticking out of a naked woman's vagina.
      The end.
If you're thinking: "Where's the moral in this story?!" I'll tell you: Sometimes, when there's no moral, there's more fun. Besides, I had to make an intro for Mick Jagger's quotes, making this the 4th quotes post after quotes post number 1, 2 and 3.
  • The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.
  • Anything worth doing is worth overdoing.
  • Anarchy is the only slight glimmer of hope.
  • It's all right letting yourself go, as long as you can get yourself back.
  • Lose your dreams and you might lose your mind.
  • You wake up in the morning and you look at your old spoon and you say to yourself: "Mick, it's time for a new spoon." And you do.
  • If only the whole world could stay young.
  • People think they know you. They know the things about you that you have forgotten.
  • I haven't had the time to plan returning to the scene because I haven't left it.
  • My mother has always been unhappy with what I do. She would rather I do something nicer, like be a bricklayer.
  • I think, like most people, my moral values tend to be pretty fuzzy.
  • You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you might find you get what you need.
  • Don't you think it's sometimes wise not to grow up?
  • Life's just a cocktail party - on the street.
Why did I decide to tell that story in a form of a fairytale? Because apparently it isn't true. Some people involved say it is, some say it isn't. But the facts are: There was a raid. And there were people. And there were magic substances. And there also were Mars bars. So you choose what you believe yourself. I think you have to have a little bit of fairytale magic in your life, right?

  3. you are the new Aesop!! Loved the tale but...mick jagger kinda grosses me out not actually not kinda but totally - I don't get the rolling stone thing at all. during an interview, apparently someone commented on his face and how it has aged and he was trying to be cool and said - i like laughing, i enjoy life. upon which the interviewer said - yes but nothing is that funny.

    OOOO snap.

  9. For a second, I read the last line as "blowing Snow White and Cinderella out of the water" literally and I was all disappointed, I wanted to hear that story! (Because that just sounds like my kind of fairly tale.) I keep thinking about that Mars bar though and how melted and sticky that must have been, it just seems like it would take a while to clean that up from...down there. (And why can't we find mar bars anymore? Did they all disappear because people kept associating them with the edible panties and such?)

I do have to say, I love your bright red, sassy heels with your jacket, that has got to be the best mix ever.

  12. Haha, I'm sure your kids will love this story =) And you're right, not every story needs a moral at the end of it.

  19. Okay first of all: the outfit is stunning! I adore the hot red shoes with the cool casual pants and jacket! Fab!!

And then: oh Mick you sick crazy dog! If this story wasn't about Mick Jagger I'd say you're shitting me, but with a little bit of pixie dust and because it's neccessary for a rockstar to have such stories going on I think it really might be true... :)

  20. haha sometimes I feel there must be some magic substances around when you're writing. Probably just a Mars, but still ^^

  21. Yes, Mick and Keith were born a long long LONG time ago - they're even older than me!!! I wonder if that Mars bar story is from around the same time their "Sticky Fingers" album came out? I also wonder how many fans tried to see him after that album with the psychedelic cover came out and he sang a song on it having the lyrics "Please come see me In The Citadel". As for fairytale magic, some of that would be nice :)

  23. You make me laugh. I started reading this post wondering where it was going and i should have known there would be a moral to your 'fairytale'. I'm not sure you should perhaps tell your possible children that story, it may be best to stick to Cinderella. I'm not a fan of Mick Jagger or the Rolling Stones and don't know much about them apart from a few of their songs, but I am curious to know what the hell was really going on with that Mars Bar. Before I read your post I would have had lots of innocent thoughts going through my head!

I love your varsity jacket, I've just bought a similar one from Topshop, they are so cool but chic!

    1. I'd never fold to shorten my pants, ever.:D I'm a tiny person and that would just cut me off, not a smart thing to do in my opinion although it seems so cool on other people.:) Thank you for your comment and especially thank you for reading, sweetie.;)
