Eclectic Is the Perfect Word

A few days ago, the very lovely and adorable and all kinds of gorgeous Kierra from XOXO, Kierra Makayla came up with some pretty cool questions and very thoughtfully thought of me and sort of tagged me (you can read more about it here if you're interested). Since I'm a yes woman, I'll more than gladly play along and answer them so here we go...

What made you be into fashion?

I don't know exactly. Not even 10 years ago I was walking around in bell bottom jeans and Corona t-shirts and J├Ągermeister jumpers all day every day. And then I all of a sudden wanted a pink blazer (which was very weird because as a die-hard hip hop girl I couldn't stand pink for ages). And then I wanted a blue one. And a pair of heels. And another pair of heels. But I don't know why. I blame ze Internet and its evil ways.

What trend do you dislike the most?

Fucking peplum. That thing is HORRIBLE. The person who came up with that should be shot on sight.

Describe how you would love your life to look in the future?

If my life will let me enjoy this shower (not necessarily this shower specifically, but a similar one, maybe the one next door) for a whole month every year, I'll be pretty happy. I want to be able to move around a lot because I get bored easily and staying in one place for too long makes me depressed.

Top - H&M, blazer - Zara, hat - NewYorker, pants - Tally Weijl, sneakers - Lonsdale

  7. oh I like that post! the way you have designed it, what you have done with the photos, how you have answered the questions without too much yarning. for a slight moment I even forgot how crappy I feel right now because of the stupid cold that is torturing me :| anyway, I like your answers and I think the same way about several things, for example trends. I really don't care about trends because wearing everything I like whenever I like it is so much better. and easier. I totally ignore new stuff with full prices, doesn't matter how tempting it looks. oh and your neon beanie is fierce!

    1. Yes, me too, I rarely buy anything for its full price, it just seems to me I'm wasting money that way. Even more money, clothes have definitely become a luxury not a necessity...

  9. Peet you know, I am not so much good with English (always put all my effort to translate and think of an appropriate comment to write), so when I see english written posts Im always in trouble. It doesnt happen with you, I mean I still am not good but is always so so so funny and nice reading that the foreign language isnt a weight :) Btw, Im glad you did the tag, your answers made me laugh, really you want to look like Eminem? Lol! I cant live without mascara as well, though lipstick are always my fav product. I like oversize stuff too and Id love to go to Australia. I like you find inspiration around you, when I feel my head "empty", I just go out and look around in search of "ideas" and colors :) I really love how you realized the photos, you look really cool dear! Happy Valentine's Day, really hope you will have an amazing time! Kisses! xo

    1. Cool! That's means I'm making sense!! Thanks, dear, I often think about that so this is reassuring to hear... And YES, there's so much inspiring and thought provoking things around us, you just have to be open to them.

  13. I can practically see you in some ghetto garb, for some reason that revelation did not surprise me! Hehehe, I love how you play by your own rules, know what works and you know what you like. It's authentic and I hope you never change!

  15. Thank you for sharing that We are 365 Tropical Shower link. It just underlines how crap my life is without it. But equally that's what I love about you: it's not only your style that is eclectic, but also your personality, which shines both through your images & the written word. Hell yeah to that beanie and to mascara. Not wearing mascara is not an option for me either.

  17. I totally feel naked without mascara as well! And even though I'm not totally against peplum there is this thing that peplum tops look suuuuuper strange on people with a big belly because that ruched part will simply protrude awkwardly :D
Also I'm glad that you like the new header :) And I can totally understand what you said about beauty books. I probably wouldn't have bought it for myself either because it's not that cheap after all and as you said you can find it all on Youtube xD

    1. I obviously pressed the wrong button a minute ago. Anyway what I said was that this was a fab post: great written content and imagery. Now what else did I say.....oh yes I agreed with the peplum issue. Don't like them at all even on the sexiest body. Ms Blick, she's a cool chick for sure and I said good luck with achieving your shower dream, that's now on my bucket list too!!

  19. I'd be MIA in a heart beat but Olsen sounds good too. Right now in my part of Australia its miserable and pouring rain. Suzie Bubble is one of my fave bloggers but I love your selection....So I just typed everything I thought while I read this.

  21. Great color on this hat!
Hate peplum too! This doesn't fit a body. Simply not. Why people can't see this??

The best part of your style is a mixture, as you said. And that you seem not to care too much about fashion. That's the main thing to have a great style: don't be aware of it =)
And yes, lookbook has corrupted us all!
