I've been putting this post off for quite some time now. It wasn't easy watching my best friend get old and sick and then dead in the first place, but then it sucked some more coming back to the blog and looking at this big gaping hole, the DDD series, reminding me of him being gone. Permanently. If you don't have a dog (or a pet), you really can't understand the bond (and thus the loss) and even if you do, there's a substantial chance you still don't get it because people in general have a derogatory attitude towards animals thinking they're a dime a dozen. Which just proves that humans are a stupid mishap in 'God's' plan if you ask me.
My dog, just like any other (unlike humans), was far from replaceable, common, ordinary or average. He had more personality than 75 percent of people I know and just as much as the remaining 25 and it really was a pleasure and a privilege being a medium for his voice. And it sucks (an understatement of the year) because he had a lot more stories to share. But now I've met someone else whose voice and stories and viewpoints and musings have to be shared — my boyfriend's dog.
Even though I said I'm never getting a puppy ever again (which I still say and believe), I was very fortunate to have a man come into my life who came with a pooch. Why fortunate? Because living your life without a canine friend is just no way to live your life, period. But now I kind of get to have the best of both worlds: I have a four-legged tail-wagger bringing me joy on a daily basis and they have the bond, so I'm thinking (and hoping and praying) that I won't get as hurt in the end, because I'm telling you love IS pain. Eventually. But until then there's plenty of blissful moments to enjoy so let's rather focus on those and focus on those we will with a little help of sneak-peaking into another doggie diary (how lucky am I that she also keeps a diary, huh??).
We won't be intruding on anyone's privacy today though, because this is just an introductory post, so I asked my boyfriend's dog to fill out a fun little questionnaire and here's what she wrote:
Thanks for stopping by and looking and reading (obviously) my mishmash jumble of cascading torrent of pot-pourri-like craziness, it means the world to me. Therefore, you're welcome to pop by again next week to see what's new on the blog, so hope to see you back on Wednesday since Wednesday's the designated FPS day. But beware, I'm not signing and sealing that in blood so your best bet is to follow FPS via email (or Bloglovin, Twitter, Instagram or Google+) to never miss an update. Or simply come by again sometimes!
