Clowns to the Left of Me

I've posted a playlist of my current encores here on FPS before, most recently here, but today I'll do it with a twist and put down some additional explanations along with my current musical favorites since some of the selectees might be surprising to those who know me and my musical background. So off we go.
 .

I just can't get enough of this song because of these two
  .
 .

I have this on repeat when I run especially because she says 'Hold that cup like alcohol, don't you drop that alcohol, never drop that alcohol, never drop that alcohol, I know you thinking 'bout alcohol, I know I'm thinking 'bout that alcohol'. And I kind of do.
  .
 .

I love this because of the honesty of the lyrics. Especially the 24th line, that's just clever songwriting.
  .
 .

Although I kind of hate to admit that this is one of my current favorites, I can acknowledge the reason why without any hesitation: I love this track not just because of the sick video, but mostly because people think and slam her for 'talking gibberish' and 'poorly enunciating English' but the truth is that she isn't even singing in English. She's singing in English creole and from my linguist's standpoint that's just cool.
  .
 .

The lyrics. Need I say more? A perfect pre-summer tune.
  .
 .

Sure Beyonce can sing, she isn't Beyonce for nothing, but in all honesty, I think Sofia outdoes her on this track. This cover is just goosebumpy.
  .
 .

Again, this is an everyday must because of the lyrics and its double meaning. You think it's just another love song? Think again ...
  .
 .

As outlandish as it might seem, but this song is fucking epic. Can't get enough of it, it's frigging priceless, Slakonja is a genius, period.
  .
 .

Because of this. Mr. Blonde's the best. No additional explanation needed.
  .
 .

Because this just reeks of summer. As simple as that. And I ... Can't. Wait. For. Summer.

Thanks for stopping by and looking and reading (obviously) my mishmash jumble of pot-pourri-like craziness, it means the world to me. Therefore, you're welcome to pop by again next week to see what's new on the blog — I post once a week every week, most likely somewhere between Wednesdays and Sundays. But beware, I'm not signing and sealing that in blood so your best bet is to follow FPS via email (or Bloglovin, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or Google+) to never miss an update. Or simply come by again sometimes!
